Talk about good times... The die hards took half days and made it to the bar early. The good thing about that is I was also home and in bed by 8! Not much to say about St. Patty's Day except that it was AWESOME. Not to mention the fact that we ended not paying any cover charges! Green beer was flowing and green flare was in abundance. Man I H-E-A-R-T St. Patrick's Day.

Our little man has learned the fine art of crawling. It's less of an art and more of a work in progress right now, but he'll fine tune it. He enjoys crawling to things that aren't toys... the cat, the remote control, a cell phone, the stereo receiver, anything that lights up (the only toy we can get him to work for). He does not enjoy crawling for any other reason and when you put him on his hands and knees and try to get him to crawl for entertainment purposes only, he looks up at you like you're nuts with a face that says, 'Look people, I have already showed you that I'm perfectly capable of this crawling thing and I have no intention of doing it again.' Then, he lunges to his belly, rolls over to his back and pushes himself up to a sitting position. It's quite comical.
He certainly enjoys walking more, so we put him up to our coffee table and he has races against the clock to see how fast he can get around it. His daycare provider lets him do the same thing at her house; we've had a pretty tired baby the last couple of days.
The weather has been perfect the last few days so we've been taking Cooper for lots of walks. I get so excited for new-ish things, so I took along the camera on one of our first walks. He's a pretty easy target for pictures! Stay tuned, I'll be posting St. Patty's Day in a moment...
Sometimes... you just have to do what they say. I had been away from Cooper all day on Thursday (not unlike a normal work day) and when I came home, instead of playing with him and cuddling with him... I had to get the house in shape. Mom and Dad were coming for the weekend. So, instead of letting him cry it out... I threw him in the Baby Bjorn. In his defense... he's teething (although I've been using that excuse for a good 6 months now and nothing has popped through!). Anyway, I threw him in there and went about cleaning the house and of course he seemed perfectly normal. He barely even inhaled all the cleaning stuff I sprayed around! HA!
We had a great weekend with my parents. Mom and I did some shopping on Saturday while Dad and Ryan worked on the pond. We got some little fishies out there! I've been wanting those for a long time! Then on Sunday, we found a great little art festival in Henderson. We stopped by there after we had a great breakfast at the Original Pancake House in Green Valley Ranch. Usually I get annoyed with that place because it always seems packed with people and you are lucky if you get everything you need service wise. But they recently moved into a bigger space and we just so happened to get one of the best servers in Las Vegas! My Dad pegged him for an education student right away. We ended up over at Border's for a little while before they left. It was really a wonderful weekend.
I can't believe it's already the middle of March!
