Today we celebrated five years of marriage. After a wonderful dinner, we decided to watch our wedding video. Maybe in the future, we will not be so compelled to reminisce (we fast-forward to the good parts -- like the speeches). After watching those speeches, we just wanted to say a few words...
Colette,
You were right. The best part of being married is being together.
Dad,
You were right. The most important thing in a marriage is the ability to listen to one another, and to work as a team.
Kyle,
You were right. Ryan is irreplaceable.
Ryan,
You were right. Ahna is the most gorgeous woman alive and is definitely capable of inducing speechlessness.
It has been a wonderful (although VERY fast) five years. We feel lucky to have shared them with each other, and look forward to the rest of our lives together.
Other things we have learned from the video and from our wedding:
-A good DJ (or iPod full of your own tunes) is worth paying for.
-The party is the best part.
-If you have to - pay extra for digital copies of your photos (otherwise, you will have to make one up - as seen in the photo at the top of this post).
And that's it for now. We love you all.
Ahna and Ryan
Happy Aniversary! That's cool that you guys watched your wedding video. I love the "You were right" part. :)
I still believe that! After almost 7 years of marriage, I almost crave those same words of advice daily more now than I did then. Love you both, happy days!
