In case the title didn't give it away... the Wards went hiking this weekend. We went out to Red Rock early in the morning and found a new trail. We tested Charlie's limits, by the end I was convinced I'd have to give him some Tylenol to get through the night. We found a good stop overlooking much of the canyon to take some pictures and let Cooper out of his backpack. It was a little unsteady at first but he figured out how to crawl over spots that were too hard for climbing. He seemed to really enjoy it. He pointed out the rocks and planes that he saw for us and counted out three rocks everywhere he went... 'one, two, fee!!!!' and sometimes he would say, 'one, two, fiiiiyyeeee' (his version of five).
Charlie loves hiking with us, he just isn't as quick as he'd like to be. We got to a few steep areas and instead of following our steps, he tried to walk along the side of us! It took some getting used to. He also doesn't understand the concept of just drinking the water he sees as he goes by it. It was around 55 degrees out and he would drink half of the little body of water he saw and then try to lay in it. Odd, he doesn't like to swim, but he will immediately lay down in any body of water he finds.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Fun. I love the picture of your dog in front of your family shot. It was funny. But yes, great pictures.
